YEAR 12

Sorry guys, I think I cannot continue to run this game. I'm very busy right now, and will remain quite busy for the coming weeks. I hate to disappoint, but other things have higher priority.

    I think I speak for all of us, or at the very least the 3 remaining large nations, in that I enjoyed this a ton! Thanks for hosting the game, it was a pleasure to look out for and think about every week. I really had a ball thinking of new story and writing it all out.

  4. I must agree with you bro. It has been a great run. Sadly, all good things must come to an end.
    As for the game itself, I have a proposition on how to end it. You flip a coin to decide whether Zalfir or Slevadovia wins the war. Both sides are pretty even. The one who loses gets to write the final wrap-up of the war, while the victor simply wins the game. This way both players get something out of it and can exit the game with dignity.

  5. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I guess I'll have to wrap this up:

    Jotnjordh, SA

    The Second Age was the beginning of the foundation of nations, outside of primative tribes and groups of bandits and rouges. The first nations to form were the Noridc Kingdom of Rok in the southwest - an extremely violent and brutual place renowned for its amazing warriors, the Vampiric Lienzo Republic in the northwest - a trade and diplomacy-oriented democratic republic, and the Nordic Slevadovia in the south - a peaceful freedom-loving economic powerhouse. Later came the imperial monarchy of Nordic Austria in the northeast, the dark and unforgiving Vampiric-Fiendish Khemri in the north, the beautiful Elvish Zalfir in the centre of Jothnjordh and the harmonic and peaceful Dwarven Equestria in the north.

    At first, most nations focused mainly on their infrasturcture and economies, with warfare and culture as secondary priorities. One nation in patricular that stood out was Rok, as they focused mainly on warfare, which other nations have come to view as typical of them by now. The first international activity was when Rok threatened to invade Slevadovia, although this threat seemed to be mostly to strike fear into them as many years later they still hadn't even formed an organized army, despite the efficiency that would follow in doing so.

    Zalfir was the first to begin expanding their borders, follwed by Slevadovia. This gave them a great economic advantage over others as they could produce much more during less time, eventually causing them to become what some would consider world superpowers. Between the early years, international trade had also been established, especially with Lienzo. Lienzo even helped Equestria establish their public education system, and later on Zalfir even planned the "Silver Sword Tournament". Zalfir, Khemri and Equestria all participated in it, and Zalfir won.

    The Kingdom of Rok was one of the last to expand, which gave them a huge disadvantage against the rest of the world. Their chance of being a huge military superpower that crushed all who opposed them was just out of reach. Even minor fueds would be risky due to the fact that most nations are more powerful than Rok and could very possibly bring other natons into the equasion, due to the diplomatic nature of most nations in Jotnjordh.

    By 5SA, a type of mind-altering mushroom that gives off endorphines when consumed (dubbed "funshrooms") was discovered by Equestrians. There was much debate as to whether these funshrooms should be legal, but it was eventually made official that they should be legal and they started being mass-produced and distributed. Equestrians even sold them at the Silver Sword Tournament, the distribution of funshrooms being a legal grey area in Zalfir. Eventually the Slevadovians and the rest of the world got their hands on them.

      By 9SA, an Equestrian politician named Kvikke (who later became the new leader of the Equestrian nation after the Dash, their former leader, was sent to drug rehabilitation) spoke to King Merisik of Slevadovia in private. They discussed Zalfir, and both agreed to form an alliance and unite against them - the Empire of Opphisset. Equestria and Slevadovia cut trade routes with Zalfir, and encouraged Khemri to aswell - although they seem to either be undecided or apathetic about the concerns of the larger nations. As Equestria grew, they annexed Austria; as did Slevadovia with Rok, however Slevadovia left Rok with a signle semi-sovereign city.

      In 9SA, a plague swept the continent. It caused people to grow ugly warts and bumps, however it was non-lethal. Most nations tried to ostracize the victims of it to prevent it from spreading, however Slevadovia took a different approach. They chose to simply embrace it whilst people donated money towards a group of scientists to find a cure, as there's no point in hiding from it, it simply marginilizes its victims and causes uneccesary panic. What the scientists discovered was more than simply a cure to the disease - they discovered they could use the virus to their advantage, to genetically modify one's body. King Merisik was eager to use this technology, and created the Slevic race - a race of humans with fangs and clay-like hands and feet.

      A brutual war eventually broke out between Opphisset and Zalfir in 10SA, Zalfir being the first to strike. Many predicted Zalfir would win the war, as their power much greater than that of Opphisset's nations. Slevadovia and Equestra decided to unite together under the (temporary) rule of King Merisik Rehorn. United, Opphisset was fairly equally matched against Zalfir. The war between Zalfir and Opphisset went on throughout the course of many years, with -undetermined- eventually coming out victorious, ending the war.
