Year 11:  Citizens need permits to enter any major city. The unemployed are no longer banished, and are in fact offered government funded jobs.
Year 10:  The government grants the citizens of Slevadovia great sexual freedom. People applying for a cure for the ugly disease are experimented on, in order to use the disease to improve the body, and create a unique Slevic race.
Year 9:  The ugly curse spreads wildly through the poor regions of Slevadovia, and many people are spending their last coins in the hope that the scientists in Huesimakor can find a cure.
Year 8: A few traders and wealthy land owners make huge amounts of money selling 'funshrooms', since half the nation is addicted to the euphoria inducing fungus.
Year 7: Weak people are used as human shields.
Year 6: More and more people are becoming strong and bloodthirsty after accepting the blessing of the Ettin god Urzgtharh.
Year 5: By ignoring complaints about bad working conditions, society has given birth to SIRO, a socialist revolutionary organization.
Year 4: Unemployment is punished by banishment.
Year 3: The state remains unaffiliated with any particular religion.
Year 2: Private education exists for the most wealthy citizens.
Year 1: Wealthy merchants hire mercenaries to discourage thievery.

Additional info

King Merisik supports a fairly hands-off government with most infrastructure and services provided by an unregulated market economy, other than criminal justice and the military. Main focus is economic prosperity and expansion.
